It’s rather obvious, after the last few months, that the mullahs of Iran are using the Gazans as pawns in their fight against the Jews.
Hey, why not? The whole point of pawns in the game of chess is to shield the nobles, the kings and queens and bishops and knights, and occasionally sacrifice a pawn for a noble.
It was peasants that fought for their feudal lords in the wars of the Middle Ages. Then it was draftees, the levée en masse, that fought Napoleon’s wars and all the world wars since. Yes, it’s rather odd that in our modern era of freedom and democracy we force young men to fight in the armed forces. But hey, rulers gotta rule.
But note that the assumption has always been that the lower classes are expected to fight, because their lordly lords protect them from the Vandals and the Huns. Or the Nazis.
In our age, the ruling class has reversed this tradition. You can see it in the Allyship narrative, that the Allies fight for the Oppressed Classes against the White Oppressors.
The Allyship narrative is a lie, because the Allies don’t actually do any fighting. They expect the Oppressed Peoples to do the fighting. And the White Oppressors are not really oppressors but just ordinary white middle class males living their lives, working and making a living by the rules.
I say that the Allies are always using the Oppressed Peoples as pawns, as an excuse to attack the middle class and to reduce the Oppressed Peoples to serfs of their ruling-class Allies.
That’s what the Allies did with the workers, enserfing them into labor unions run by corrupt bosses and into the welfare state run by the educated class. Then the workers got priced out of the market and the welfare state will soon run out of money.
That’s what the Allies did to women, “liberating” them to be life-long wage workers that have no time to organize a community of women in their neighborhood.
That’s what the Allies did to blacks, making them into the shock troops of the Democratic Party, and hindering their rise into the middle class.
So I say that the real strategy of the educated class — and I grant that 97.2 percent of the educated class has no idea — is to identify victims of oppression and keep them as subordinate victims forever. Clearly, that has happened to the residents of Gaza under the rule of Iran-directed Hamas and the globalist upper class at UNWRA. They are kept in a permanent refugee camp, and fed non-stop war propaganda to be fighters for Islam against the Jews. But they never have a chance to build their own state and wive and thrive — and never, no never, make peace with Israel.
Do you think that the same applies in our support of Ukraine against the Russians? If we weren’t funding and supporting Ukraine it would have to work out some sort of a deal with Russia, that would no doubt reduce it to a client state of Russia, rather like Belarus. Does our interference in the Ukraine elections of 2014 and our funding of the present war against Russia really benefit the ordinary people of Ukraine? It’s certainly great fun for our rulers to be using Ukraine to annoy Russia.
When I was a young man I believed the Narrative that I had been carefully taught. But over the years, as I have read lots of books and become a cranky old man, I have begun to make a point of trying to make other narratives fit the facts.
I now believe that every rising class promises a wonderful new era that will end the old injustices and create a world of sweetness and light. But when it gets into power it does what every ruling class does: play one group off against another, loot the country for resources to reward its supporters, and get into wars, internal and external. It gets into wars because the political is all about friends vs. enemies, and in the modern era the political class has appropriated the moral universe and made itself the arbiter of good vs. evil.
Really, the current cult of the victim is brilliant. It provides an excuse for foreign wars to help helpless victims like the Ukrainians; it provides an excuse for a gigantic administrative state so the rulers can help the helpless and fund jobs for the educated class. And it provides a magnificent rostrum for activists to advocate and demand help for the helpless and the victims of injustice. And when previous policies make things worse, the activists merely redouble their efforts to demand help for the helpless.
In the current regime you can always tell who the good guys are: when the drug-addled dies of a drug overdose in police custody, the problem is police brutality. When rents and mortgages are outta sight they advocate for squatters’ rights. When Israel is attacked they stand by as pro-Palestinian activists block roads and bridges.
You can always tell who the bad guys are: when far-right protesters enter the sacred halls of the US Capitol, it’s an insurrection and it’s pre-trial detention and years of imprisonment for the miscreants.
