Andrew Breitbart famously said that "politics is downstream from culture."
John C. Wright extended the idea in "Last Crusade: Fighting the Wrong Battle," He said that:
In the same way politics is downstream of culture, culture is downstream of religion.
But I think that is not far enough. I say that:
Politics is downstream from culture is downstream from religions is downstream from the meaning of "life, the universe, and everything."
Now, what the meaning of life is downstream from I have yet to determine. But here is a clue from Carl Jung:
It is only the things we don't understand that have any meaning.
What does that mean?
Politics is about who is the enemy.
Culture is about who are we.
Religion is about who is God.
The meaning of life, the universe, and everything is about everything else.
