A Bit of a Cock-up on the Activist Front
because I am the world's foremost expert on the activism culture.
Anyone with a bit of an eddication knows that the title of this piece is a sophisticated allusion to The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin show on Brit TV. There was a character on the show, an incompetent Major, retired from the British Army, who was always admitting a bit of a cock-up on the catering front.
But my point has to do with the encouragement of the Activism Culture in our sacred universities.
About Harvard, for example. I was reading a piece by Rabbi Dov Fischer in which he listed all the student activist groups that signed onto a letter about 10/7. Here they are:
African American Resistance Organization
Bengali Association of Students at Harvard College
Harvard Act on a Dream
Harvard Arab Medical and Dental Student Association
Harvard Chan Muslim Student Association
Harvard Chan Students for Health Equity and Justice in Palestine
Harvard College Pakistan Student Association
Harvard Divinity School Muslim Association
Harvard Middle Eastern and North African Law Student Association
Harvard Graduate School of Education Islamic Society
Harvard Graduate Students for Palestine
Harvard Islamic Society
Harvard Law School Justice for Palestine
Harvard Divinity School Students for Justice in Palestine
Harvard Jews for Liberation
Harvard Kennedy School Bangladesh Caucus
Harvard Kennedy School Muslim Caucus
Harvard Kennedy School Muslim Women’s Caucus
Harvard Kennedy School Palestine Caucus

Godfrey Daniels! Mother of Pearl! No less than 34 student activist groups signed onto Harvard’s antisemitic screed.
Dear liberal friends and Harvard Corporation. Do you not see that the activism thing has got a bit out of hand? Apart from the raaccciss idea that every ethnic group should have its own ethnic affinity group at the university, which I expect you will agree is the worst thing since Kristallnacht and the H-word.
Now, I have an extremely advanced and sophisticated understanding of what I call the Activism Culture. Here is a quick quote:
Our modern activists, or activistes, are not really revolutionaries fighting for the powerless against the powerful; they are really fake revolutionaries, the stooges of the ruling class. The tip-off is the remarkable indulgence that our rulers have for left-wing "peaceful protest." Real revolutionaries get roughed up by the police, and sent to jail or exile.
Real revolutionaries: you mean like J6 “armed insurrectionists” who were properly kept in single confinement by our activist-adjacent federal government for months after J6…
I go on.
Thus, I would argue, the university has really become an activism seminary, training young activists to become the priests of the state church of activism.
And I compare the Activism Culture with its forebear, the medieval knightly culture celebrated in medieval romances like King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Only the knights were in fact ruling-class thugs, famous for the Sack of Constantinople in the Fourth Crusade.
The Sack of Constantinople has nothing, I repeat, nothing in common with the Sack of American Cities by the crusading regime-adjacent armies of BLM and AntiFa during the Summer of St. George Floyd.
So, go ahead, dear ruling-lass liberals. Train our nation’s future high-status functionaries in your lefty Woking Class religion and culture. Raise them up on your Activism Culture. Make sure they don’t have a clue about any ideas outside the lefty Woking Class bubble.
I just don’t think that such an education strategy is going to work out well: not for you chaps in the Woking Class nor for Americans in general.
But you are the smart guys, dear liberals. I’m sure that you know what you are doing.
